Volvo experience world on more than 10,000 square meters
Taunusstein/Munich, April 2010.
The Expotechnik Group designed and realized an impressive indoor- and outdoor brand experience world on a total area of more than 10,000 square meters for the Swedish construction machine manufacturer Volvo Construction Equipment at bauma 2010 in Munich.
Together with the Expotechnik Group Volvo Construction Equipment generated the enthusiasm of those who are interested in construction for one whole week. It was possible to admire trucks, dredgers, caterpillars and rollers on a spacious indoor and outdoor area and experience these in their actual size, power and technology. With the whole exhibition of the products the Expotechnik Group managed to successfully present Volvo Construction Equipment as an innovative and future-oriented company in an attractive optical appearance. It was possible to create a uniform brand appearance for the world’s leading manufacturer in the field of fuel saving technology and supplier of all-round solutions.
The eye-catchers for the visitor in the inviting friendly and modern indoor area were two highlight areas. The focus of the events was placed on a world innovation on the first of two separate islands - a massive truck, which from a technological point of view operates optimally in line with all other construction machines on a building site. The second point of attraction was an innovation area, in which Volvo Construction Equipment risked a look into the future. Innovative, technically and optically futuristic models were shown to those interested in construction in glass display cabinets, which were arranged in the shape of a star – they represented visions what the construction machines of tomorrow will look like and how they will work. The Swedish brand identity was also expressed on the trade fair stand by the preferred choice of materials and colors. Wooden wall elements and deep-yellow construction machines in combination with blue, hanging banners, which partly served as a projection area, conveyed the visitors a Scandinavian flair on approx. 3,000 square meters.
Besides the indoor area the large-scale outdoor area of Volvo Construction Equipment was the main point of contact for the stream of visitors and offered numerous attractions. In addition, it was possible to view live programs and many different Volvo construction machines in a large exhibition area. There was a demonstration area in the middle part of the outdoor area. Live shows of construction machines and trucks, which were full of action and with background music, were presented here daily. The eyes of the visitors lit up above all with the possibility to test their driving skills and to compete against each other in two identical dredgers. Besides fulfilling such childhood dreams there was a Volvo training simulator on the outdoor site, in which the visitors were also able to test their skills. The impressive and spacious trade fair landscape with an area of around 7,500 square meters was above all distinguished by lots of natural materials such as sand and stones.
“We are pleased to be able to implement the trade fair presentation of Volvo Construction Equipment for the second time in a row after the last bauma three years ago. The interaction and the coordination between the various service providers with the numerous Volvo product managers worked to an optimum extent.
